watched my kids rep team play last night. far more interesting than a bunch of over paid bums skating around deciding whether they will play hard that night or not. plus the calibre of hockey was probably better than the leafs anyways. i say cancel the season....

The NHL is a joke for allowing this to go on. They will lose more revenue than ever before. A lot of die hard hockey fans are getting turned off real fast. It's a shame whats going on in sports. The NFL is becoming a joke with the officials, the NHL is clueless, the NBA just sucks because it's the same 2-4 teams that make the finals and baseball is just boring.

All the young exciting talent in the NHL and soon entering the NHL should be what the NHL is focusing on. It's a shame this has happened. I was all excited to see Huberdeau play this year but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. What a joke.

They agree to sit down and talk oh joy and rapture, could care less if the talk face to face or on the phone, they both need to just get into a room and be locked in it while someone else figures this mess they created out. Fire both of them!!!! Or lock them in that room and lose the key.

i have an idea.... how bout neither the owners or players get any of the revenue and they put all of it towards the NHL foundation that goes into different charities or give it to the workers of all of the teams or a fund so they can drop the prices of tickets for all the teams so people, especially in toronto and MTL can go and see the games without spending a boatload. the owners and players already make enough and the revenues really end up being chump change after its divided between a 1000 people. and im sure the only players who really notice it are the guys making the league minimum but im sure most of the big name guys donate the extra money to charity anyway. problem solved.

yes, those poor guys on the league minimum only making $525,000/yr.... what an atrocity..
